I wish they would pull NEM- just a slow downer song, and until it sleeps is the equivalent of the 04 tours Disappear, both of which i could do without. Also could pass on Roam for something heavier.
If they want to kill it, do more Justice album. Love Harvester (got it in Charlotte in 04)- would be a perfect replacement
for Roam. And SHortest Straw.
I think Seek is a staple song, but move it around.
I hope they do switch up and get to All Nightmare and Judas Kiss by the time they get back from EUR and come to the south, cause those are my 2 favorites off the new album.
Like the idea of closing with My Apocolypse or Blackened. As repetitive as it would be, I still love the build and energy it
has a the opener.
One and Day that Never Comes are very similar in composition. Not sure if they can not do one of them.
I am not crazy about the covers they always throw in from Garage Inc., but I understand where I think they are coming from- those are covers they love from back in the day of getting started, jammin in garages, etc. So, they throw them in to have some personal fun and keep it fresh. I think as fans we can afford them that right.
I am guesisng that these posts will get read by someone and maybe recommendations will get made.

The sound was amazing, seriously. They really sound incredible, anyone who is going to these shows is in for a treat.
Now my only qualm is the setlist. Honestly, the show I saw in 2004 had a FAR SUPERIOR setlist. I mean I like Death Magnetic, but nowhere near their classic 80's albums. To put it bluntly I go to Metallica shows to see material off of Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning, Puppets and Justice. This show was about 50% Death Magnetic, 30% Black Album, 10% Load, and 10% everything else. It seems like St. Anger sucking balls as an album really helped out the 2004 Setlists since they knew no one wanted to hear anything off St. Anger, forcing them to play almost all classic songs.
All in all it was still a shitload of fun (as it should be), but beware unless you REALLY REALLY love Death Magnetic, you will not be seeing many of the classics.

1. Life
2. End of the line
3. Sad
4. Roam
5. One
6. BB&S
7. Cyanide
8. Frantic
9. Until it Sleeps
10. Four Horsemen
11. Day that never comes
12. Master
13. Fight Fire
14. NEM
15. Sandman
16. Seek
Is that right?
What about The Sword? What was their set list, or is talking about someoneelse's setlist not kosher here? I'm a newbie.
How long was their set? How about solos? Guitar has one in every song, but I'm sure Lars got his, and Trujillio may have. Did the new stage style work well in the round?

The other thing was Ticketmaster fees. For fucks sake, this really was a thorn in my balls. The ticket itself was $55 (which I was completely ok with), but then what do you know, it gets turned into a $75 ticket after their fees. Fuck that.

In fairness they are promoting DM so 4-5 songs from DM is about right...they have 8 other albums which they can pluck 13 more songs off so they are not going to please everyone...i do think that they should drop songs like until it sleeps which for me just doesnt work live and frantic... ialso think they should drop the cover songs and play an old classi instead my ideal set for the Lonodn Show would feature the following songs
Seek, Motor
Bellz, Fade
Master, Battery
One, Harvestor
Sandman, Roam, Nothing
Bleeding
Memory
TWJYL,BBS, TDTNC,ANL, Cyanide
