I'm mailing my retail CD to HQ with a letter explaining why. Please do the same! If you're one of the 12,000+ that signed the petition, send it in. Enjoy the GH3 rips and instead of just burning the CD, send it to Lars.

Send them a GH3 rip too. Maybe they will get the point.

As soon as my coffin box set finally arrives I'll be sending back both my retail copy and the copy that comes in the box set. I won't be listening to them anyway, the real album is the guitar hero rips.

Might as well make a statement I guess.

Should we pick a date to send them so most of them get there over a 2-3 day span. Or better yet an estimated arrival date?

Yeah, you can always pick up a used copy later to takes its spot in your cd rack to gather dust. There will be plenty in the used bin soon enough.

This is going to have to happen on a massive scale for it to be effective. You guys definitely need to get organized to send them all at once.

We need to publicise this so it spreads. A trickle needs to become a flood before they finally get the fucking point. Mine will be on its way. But yes, we need a date in the future to start sending them. Suggest October 10th? One month after the DeadPathetic mix was released?

ye agree and don't send notes on the lines of: "the production sucks" or" you guys are sellouts" etc... they just won't pay attention in you do that.. something formal explaining the facts and details is a win situation.

Can we at JusticeForAudio come up with a press release that we can all use to spread the word to media outlets? I'll email every newspaper I can find.

I don't sit my beer down long enough to need a coaster. It's the point, there needs to be a message. From real people, sending in the real CD, not just internet bitching.

I wonder if turnmeup.org would get in on the action, or if they're trying to take the non-confrontational route.

Fuck that. I might as well send back all of the distorted discs that I've accumulated since 2000. The recording industry will have a turn-around here. Just be patient.

Plus the CD has a hole in the middle where condensation can leak through.

I think it would be much more effective to attempt to return the CDs wherever they were bought. Tell the manager the CD is defective. If they insist on exchanging, have them play the brand new one and show them they're all defective, you may get a refund, or at least store credit for something else.

Then the CDs will likely be returned to the manufacturer, and THAT will make a statement.

If it doesn't work, send it to Lars.

I don't like the idea of returning the CD to the store, because the store's going to end up taking a hit dealing with the returns, especially the independent stores. They had nothing to do with this, so I wouldn't want to get them involved, especially if it means a loss in productivity or profits for them.
