Don't know if anyone posted this yet, if so, i'm sorry

This is some new tidbits of info from an interview with Lars in the dutch magazine 'Aardschok'

About the album title:
- Death Magnetic is a lyric from My Apocalypse

About tracks:
- 14 songs recorded
- 11 songs mixed
- 10 made it to the album
- left out track is called 'Shine' and is bound to surface some time some where

About The Unforgiven III:
- They jammed on some song that felt like a nephew to the other Unforgivens
- So they dubbed it Unforgiven III (no pun intended)
- Lars described is as an mix between the Unforgiven and Dyers Eve
(though I think he ment that lyrically rather than musically, because he said it was very dark and moody)

About The New Song (or as Lars called it Glass Cow):
- Riffs from this song where used in two songs
- The mid-section can be heard on All Nightmare Long
- The intro will be in The End Of The Line

About lyrics:
- Lars said the lyrics are very dark.
- About death, suicide, betrayal etc.
- He said he was shocked the first time he read them.
- Hetfield seems very happy, but from the lyrics he gathered that there's still quite a storm in James' head

These are the newer things in there. The rest of the info we already know or is just good old lars babble.

Once again sorry if this was posted already.

And don't ask me to give you a link or a scan, because I didn't bought the magazine
I just read the whole article in a shop at the trainstation.

I'm glad the mid section of Glass Cow made it onto the album. And by intro i presume he means the bit James and Rob play together?

I guess, Lars wasn't that specific
but since we also did hear a lot of the main riff from this song on M:M
maybe Lars means the intro + main riff
(which i hope not, cuz i don't really like that riff)

one typo: It was called Glasgow, not glass cow

Also, Metal Mike asked Lars if James was Suicidial as the lyrics all were about death, suicide and stuff that isn't good. Lars replied he didn't know and hoped not.

the first time I heard that solo section from the Leeds (was it leeds or reading?) show I was thinking that's the best stuff they've written for a long time, it was the rest of the song i didn't like

As long as the godawful main riff of TNS is not used I'm happy.

I gotta say I absolutely love that part

May I even be as bold as to say that I think that whole mid-section blows Cyanide away

its interesting that the phrase death magnetic isn't used until the last song. Somehow i expected to hear it in the opening song.

I'm with you on that one!

I gotta say that's actually the only real thing I couldn't stand about TNS (and kinda ruined the song for me)

Wasn't the song written in Glasgow and so they entitled it Glass Cow? I remember an interview when someone said that.

Hope I'm wrong :(
