Even if I still lived in Tennessee, I wouldn't go. Unless you're sealing bottled water or drugs while your there, it's pretty damn expensive.

What's with the mad face..... It's not like Metallica would show they actually care about Rochester anyway...since you live close.

Give it time fellow Americans, they'll announce a slew of dates in the next 3 weeks, count on it.

Awwww, he should have revealed more than that. Why so fucking secretive about the new album??? He's talking about how they are playing riffs??? What, are they still writing songs?? No recording yet? No post production? No wrapping it up??

This is a complete 180 from how they were in 2002-2003. I don't get it. It's been 3 years and 3 months since their tour ended. How have they not gotten tbeir shit together yet? He talks about staying relevant? By being relevant, you have to have released an album recently. for them it's been 5 full years. They're creeping on ACDC/TOOL level here. Fuck perfection. They made their best stuff when they just played and got the job done.

True... When was the last time a big band played in Rochester anyways? But last time they toured the states Met played in Buffalo, it would be sweet if they did again.

A few country singers have played here in the last few years and a couple just played here on Saturday and osme of those people draw a hell of a lot more asses to the seats than Metallica.

I think Metallica will play Buffalo again, personally I don't really care if they play Rochester because I'm financially stable enough where I could go to Cleveland, Ohio or anywhere within driving distance with a few buddies of mine as long as it doesn't cut too much into work.

I love Metallica, just not enough anymore to take more than the day or two I'd need to enjoy the show and recover from the aftermath.

No bands play in my home town at all, but I'm about 100 miles from Atlanta so it's not too bad at all. Only problem for me is I can never afford to go to anything

I indeed am disappointed, as I have hoped they wouldn't play even a single gig in America.

Meh...

I don't get the sad faces, this is only one date for a festival. It's the calm before the storm, or whatever the saying maybe.

This is a big festival with dozens and dozens of bands for that same price. So the price you actually pay per band (including Metallica) is only 3$ (3,3$/3,5$ at the most). And that's not even including the other happenings at the festival.

Of course many people will only like couple of those bands or something, but still.
