Anyone else want Pushead to do the new album art work? I think that St. Anger's album art was fantastic.

Besides Pushead, what other artists would you like to see do the album art?

Paste links and examples!

i would like travis smith(not the musician of course) do the artwork.

here:

or on a second thought, mattias noren can do a great job.

if such artists do the job, the result will be a unique quality, a difference for metallica.

Those are just photos, not real art (I know, photos can be art just as well, but you know what I mean).

Sure there could be some photos, but I also like some actual art in there, and I think Pushead is the best for that job.

I don't know what you mean. Photos are as much real art as some paintings.

Uhhh... I said the same thing. But what I meant is that Pushead art is usually drawn stuff, and some weird skulls, and other strange stuff.

I'm sure they'll have Pushead do some promo stuff or t-shirts but I'm not sure about another album cover, it's possible though.

I couldn't care less about the artwork. Just stay away from skulls and similar heavy metal cliches.

Well maybe get either of the guys who drew the MoP and ...AJFA covers: Don Brautigam or Stephen Gorman respectively :D

Ok, it doesn't really matter who draws the art, James and Lars (well other members as well in some) have designed all of the best covers so far, and they only need some good artist to draw the idea on paper. The inside art should still be by Pushead IMO.

My vote goes to Travis Smith, but what the hell happened to his website? It only shows a fraction of the art it once did. The dude's done shit tons of album art.
