A hidden gem?

Just realised something when watching this. At 20 minutes they show a clip from Seattle 89.
This interview was made in August of 1991..so Live Shit would not be released for over 2 years. First I thought the quality was bad and therefore sounded different from the normal versions avaiable....but
It seems to me that the audio has not been edited and polished yet. So we have a raw sound edition of Master Of Puppets. I must say I perfer this in some ways to the finished product...feels raw and more organic.
Do you hear me? Maybe you figured this out long ago... but I found this quite interesting anyway:)

Cool to hear the raw soundboard recording. The bass sounds better, but I prefer the polished product of course.

Another cool one. Apparently Jason' second gig with the band. All 48 minutes of it.

As it is with all their live releases; They have been touched up in the studio.Pretty cool. I have a question, though. Is it known if any members in the band re recorded some parts?
I heard rumours that Lars re-recorded some drumtracks for the Fan Can 4 cd (Fillmore 2003)

I know the Seattle show was multiple nights, but in that video you can hear that some parts were fixed up, because they aren't as clear in this original link.Pretty cool. I have a question, though. Is it known if any members in the band re recorded some parts?
And yeah that live vid I posted was pretty awesome. There are a bunch of "related" links in there that also have full concerts. I love getting in that youtube funnel where you just find reco after reco of awesome vids!

You may be interested to know that on the 'The Good, the Bad & the Live' box set there is a bonus record called 'The Six and a Half Year Anniversary E.P' containing the unpolished recordings of Harvester, One, Breadfan and Last Caress from Seattle '89. The quality is CRAP compared to the 'Live Shit' versions but it is still interesting to hear these tracks how they originally sounded. I sold my box set years ago but I'm sure someone will have them on MP3.

How did they manage to make the finished product so much better than that? Wow. Cept the bass tone I guess.
Touch ups probably.

Yeah his voice was good in that one. But the yodeling drives me up the wall.
Same here, but god I love it in Am I Evil. I love singing it that way, just so much fun.

If only you kids cared that words mean things.
James doesn't yodel.

"you kids" I'm probably older than you think I am.If only you kids cared that words mean things.
James doesn't yodel.
And obviously he doesn't yodel, but since I've read that around here, I feel it's easily the best way to describe his vocal approach that annoys me without going into technical vocal/singing details!
