I got into Metallica this time last year so I'm pretty far past the whole remixing of Death Magnetic craze or whatever, so can someone explain to me exactly what Moderus is?

So did he change the actual songs or just make them sound better?

Also. not WHO is moderus... I know he's a user, I just am not sure exactly what his remixes are. What did he do?

He redid the mixing, and did it several times (three in fact), just to make the album a more listenable experience; that is with main goal to do something with less clipping and more dynamics. I highly suggest you to check them out since he is awesome and the original mix was considerably less so. :)

Some sort of mammal. Given its advanced tool use, higher primate I suspect.
