This poll may be the closest one we have ever seen here on MetallicaBB. Here it is. Two songs that are always in discussion for the greatest Metallica song of all time collide here in this poll. So, which song is it? Purify, or Creeping Death?

I went with Creeping Death, even though this was an extremely hard poll. Purify is easily number 2 behind Creeping Death.

I'm suprised at the amount of votes Purify got; I thought most people hated that song. I'm personally quite fond of it, but I don't think it's in the same league a Creeping Death.

Fuck, creeping death is up there with the greatest songs. But there's something about Purify, that middle section just made me have to give the St. Anger gem my vote.

I still regard Creeping Death as an amazing song, don't get me wrong, but like I said above, Purify has that godly middle harmonic riff, and a few saving clever drum rolls from Lara at the end, listen to the drum roll at 4:53. Wow a wee wah!
