[Cloud Man]

I've been a fan since I was 10... I like Load for what it is: a good hard rock album with traces of psychedelia, blues and country. It's flawed and there are a couple of songs I don't like at all (Wasting My Hate and Poor Twisted Me) but still it's a winner. I also like DM for what it is: a good thrash-speed metal album in the vein of their older material, and, more importantly, a vast improvemente over the mess that was St. Anger. So I'd say I like both for different reasons. Never cared about the whole Metallica-sold-out-now-they're-alternative-rockers thing.

it depends mostly on my mood
I love Load's lyrics, but I love DM's rythm
and if I have to choose then let it be DM
only because ANL is the mother of all metal songs!

I am 37. I like Load better than DM. The production is better on it. I like the style better. To me DM seems forced style wise it reminds me of load but with some heavy stuff meshed together. The mesh does not fit perfectly I think. Personally I think DM would have been better if the songs were shorter. The production quality is not as good on DM too as we all know.

When ever I want to listen to Metallica I normally listen to the Black album or Load. I do have all the albums though.

DM is a musical masterpiece, it really is a triumph. hell I'm listening to it right now!!! lol.
